If you get to your appointment and you aren’t feeling your design and want to change it, no worries! We would rather you be able to change the design than settle for something you aren’t in love with.
If this happens, we require a 2-hour ($500) new deposit – the appointment will be rescheduled and your new deposit will still go toward the final session. The original deposit will be forfeited upon request to re-design.
After your tattoo session, I’ll walk you through all aftercare instructions (and I’ll send a copy to your inbox). If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email at tattoos@krantoons.com.
Leave your second skin on for 5-7 days unless instructed otherwise.
Second skin is an adhesive bandage that protects your tattoo from bacteria getting in. It was originally created for burn victims, but it also helps tattoo heal.
I use Dermshield, but you might also be familiar with brands like Tagiderm, Saniderm, or Second Skin.
If you notice your second skin leaking, take it off under running warm water, gently wash it with an antibacterial soap, and use a thin layer of aquaphor after.
Wash and use Aquaphor 1-2 times a day as needed, for 7 days.
After 7 days, you can switch to an unscented moisturizer (Lubriderm, or something similar).
Peel it off under warm running water. It may sting, like taking a bandaid off — that’s normal.
Yes. Wash your tattoo with scentless antibacterial soap. Do NOT use other products like body wash or scented soaps.
After 5-7 of second skin, moisturize your tattoo with a thin layer of unscented moisturizer.
Keep moisturizing for the next few weeks, as needed.
Limit your exercise while you have your second skin/Dermshield on. The sweat buildup can cause leakage and could potentially let bacteria in.
When you take your second skin off, you can continue your regular exercise routine.
Don’t submerge the tattoo in water for at least 2 weeks. It will impact the healing process and could lead to infection.
Be sure to contact your doctor if your tattoo gets infected.
Everyone’s body is different. But typically 2-3 weeks, depending on your healing.
Yes! This is part of the healing process. Try NOT to itch or pick a the healing piece. I recommend putting on a thin layer of moisturizer to help with the itching.
For most clients, I will schedule an upcoming ‘beauty pass’ as a routine follow-up for your tattoo. This is a short session to tighten up any details after your final appointment.
A touchup is different than a beauty pass session. I do touchups on a case-by-case basis. If you think you will need a touchup after your beauty pass, you can contact me. If one is needed, touchups will be doesn’t at a discounted hourly rate.
No! Don’t do it. I know it’s hard. Put some moisturizer on there and resist, resist, resist.
While your tattoo is healing, keep it out of the sun. UV exposure can seriously affect the healing process and lead to dehydrated skin.
After healing, make sure you apply a generous amount of sunscreen on your tattoo to keep it in the best condition.
You will receive directions and details with your appointment confirmation!
Yes, I tattoo out of a private room in Flow State Gallery. While there is no door (regulation standard), there is a curtain that can be pulled if preferred.
My books are always open, but spots typically fill months in advance.

I tattoo out of Flowstate Gallery in Westminster, Colorado.
Appointments are by booking only — no walk-ins.
Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive the exact address, parking info, and directions.
Absolutely.
Every tattoo begins with your concept, and the request form will collect the details to create a design based on your idea.
If you see a flash piece you want, just submit the Tattoo Request From and include the description of the flash you’re looking at.
I try my best to get back to all requests within 7 days. If you don’t hear back from me, it most likely means:
1. The next few months have already been filled. I recommend sending another request the 1st of the following month.
2. It could also mean that your tattoo idea isn’t a fit with the styles I offer.
My rates are $300/hour, with a $350 minimum per tattoo.
For pieces that will take more than one session, I charge $250/hour.
Yes — in order to book, a $300 deposit is required. For larger scale projects (sleeves, leg sleeves, and back pieces) a $500 deposit will be required.
I accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
(Venmo or Zelle preferred.)
Absolutely!! The girls, gays, and theys are welcome.
It depends on the size, placement, and detail of the piece.
You’ll get to see your design when you come in for your appointment — and we will have time for minor adjustments.
If you request larger changes or introduce a new concept, you will need to make another deposit to come in another day, to accommodate drawing time.
Here’s what I recommend before your appointment:
Wear comfortable, clean clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.
I recommend darker clothes, since ink can sometimes stain.
Yes! I will walk you through all aftercare, and you’ll get a follow-up email that covers everything you need to know.
And of course, if you have any questions during the healing process, you can always reach out.
Because we need the allotted time for your tattoo, please arrive on time. Being more than 20 minutes late will require you to reschedule your appointment with a new deposit.
Reschedules require at least 21 days advance notice. With proper notice, we can transfer your deposit to a new date.
Less than 21 days notice will forfeit your deposit, to account for drawing time and appointment availability for other clients.
Guests are welcome to visit you, bring food and snacks, but there isn’t a lot of space for them to sit during your tattoo.
Some conditions or medications can affect the tattoo process and healing. Please let me know ahead of time so I can give you the best advice. And of course, I recommend checking in with your doctor before booking.
No. I only tattoo clients who are 18 years and older.
Yes, I do. Be sure to indicate that it is a coverup and include a photo of your current tattoo in your Tattoo Request Form.(If it needs to be lasered, I have a recommended laser technician.)
